Books from Bertrams

This morning a box arrived from Bertrams.  A scribbled note on the outside indicated that it had gone to Waterstones a few days earlier.  I am glad that they did the decent thing.

Its contents were:
The Times Killer Su Doku 1 ( a third copy... these things stand repetition)
Jack Higgins The Valhalla Exchange (simple thriller)
Terence Blacker You Cannot Live as I have Lived and not expect to end up like this (a biography of the late Willie Donaldson)
Iain Banks The Steep Approach to Garbadale (said to be a return to the genius of The Crow Road)
Julian Stockwin Kydd (first in a series of historical naval novels)
Bill Bryson The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid (autobiography from this great comic writer)
GW Dahlquist Glass Books of the Dream Eaters (too widely recommended to ignore)
Samurai Executioner Volume 2
Two volumes of Buyers Notes.
