In the UK and those parts of the world where the language of Empire continues to hold sway, birdwatchers refer to non-descript brown birds as LBJs (or little brown jobs). These can include the many variations of sparrow and other finches of subdued hue. It is an extraordinarily useful generic term.

Flaked fish sweet corn

400g flaky white fish fillet
200g sweet corn
large knob butter
100 ml milk

Melt the butter in a medium hot frying pan and add the fish fillet.  When the fish flakes start to separate add the milk, heat through and gently separate the flakes. Add ground black pepper and stir in the sweet corn.  Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.

This also works with the addition of capers and lemon juice and with the corn replaced with rice mixed into the pan.
