Romer Grey

Some talents are not hereditary.  I now see why Romer Zane Grey's reputation has not lasted beyond the early 1970s when he developed series of novels from his father's characters.  Allow me to share a few snippets that convinced me that I need read no more of the son's canon:

On the second page of Arizona Ames: King of the Outlaw Horde:
He alerted. He seemed relaxed, but a man didn't keep his hair for long in this country if he let his mind wander. And Arizona Ames was on one of the most perilous missions he'd ever undertaken, an apparently impossible task.
Upon reflection, why share more? That quote is enough.
